First of all, we would like to thank all of our absolutely wonderful customers for purchasing from us, and for being so selfless by sending our #floralbrownies #glutenfreecakes #dairyfreechocolate and loads of our other #foodygifts to the people they care about. Some of the personal messages we have written for them have been absolutely fabulous to see!
For those of you who follow our instagram page, you will probably have seen that we had a mammoth task on our hands at the beginning of the month.
We were contacted by Kenneth Green Associates, London. They are the UK's leading distributor of high-end fragrance & beauty brands. They were collating gifts to be included in a promotional box which was to be distributed to special clients to promote their new Winter product collections.
The brief was to produce '90 boxes of 8' Floral Brownies, color-matched to the KGA logo (as close as possible), include a bespoke insert.. and deliver to base in 5 days!
This was a tough challenge, as not only would this test our capacity, but also, we were already experiencing higher than usual volumes of sales at that particular time.
Baking 720 Floral Brownies, decorating, cutting & packaging them was a full-on military operation. We were beginning our day at 6am and not cleaning off until gone midnight. Choosing the flowers was tricky too as we could only work with flowers which are 'in season' and the colours available to us for this project were too few, especially when looking for Blues & Teals! Luckily, we have the most amiable flower supplier in the country. They jumped on-board and provided us with individual comparison photos of the current stocks and then shipped our chosen items out to us immediately.
Our printer didn't disappoint us either - Full-colour inserts delivered to our door in under 24 hours!
But then, our flower order was delayed by the couriers which left us on the back-foot before we had even begun. We now had only 3 days left to produce & deliver the order.
Nonetheless, we all got our heads down and motored on through what was probably the biggest Brownie-making challenge we'll have this year, hopefully.
The Brownies were delivered to London in person, just be sure they arrived in perfect condition and we have since seen many of the recipients' instagram posts, all of which complemented us on 'The best Brownies they had ever tasted'.
